Dear FixMyMovie users,
Since we launched new FixMyMovie.com six weeks ago, we've kept a close eye on your feedback -- many thanks to all who wrote to us. We already added several new features based on those suggestions (and fixed many bugs along the ways -- you didn't expect a bug-free site launch, did you?). So, if you think you have a great idea for new feature on FixMyMovie.com, write to us.
Here are several features we've added directly in response to your emails.
- Original movie: You asked to get your original movie back, and we did it. You can now download your original video by clicking on the
Original Video link right beside your movie. It's available immediately after the upload (the three high-res versions are available for download as soon as video processing is done). Having access to the original file is cool for two reasons: first, you can now think about FixMyMovie as your ultimate video backup. Second, as our video processing algorithms are perfected, you'll be able to easily "re-fix" your clips in the future, when even better technology becomes available (don't worry, we'll be the first to know). - Direct URL : We've put in a new box that gives the direct URL to your movie. Just copy/paste the URL into your IM or email. Look for it just below the embed code in Share tab.
- Faster processing times: We know you want to see your movie online and fixed as soon as possible. That's why we're constantly tweaking our system for maximum speed (without compromising quality). Nevertheless this depends on your video size, and it can sometimes take more than an hour to fix your movie. The reason is that we're taking the most thorough look at it and making sure that it looks the best it can. Of course, you can always enjoy your original (non-fixed) movie in mere seconds after your upload is finished.
